Well as Saturday approaches, we are even closer to seeing what may be a huge return for both Ortiz and Griffin. During a live video feed Saturday showing Ortiz in his gym, he is looking possibly at the pinnacle of career. Having recieved back surgery and 18 months of time off and hitting the gym its possible that he's going to come back harder than ever. Griffin, having faced a huge upset against Anderson Silva at UFC 101, is sure to want to come back and prove himself to the MMA world. Being 3 1/2 years in the making have made this into one of the biggest fights of both mens carreer. After their last split decision bout, this will make an interesting fight. So what will both men be looking for?

I think Ortiz will be looking for the shoot and takedown, Ortiz has some of the best ground and pound in the UFC, on top of having excellent submission defence, which should cancel out Griffin's BJJ. Griffin will not want this fight to be taken to the ground, I think he is going to be banking on keeping this one standing and protecting against the takedown attempts. Though Griffin does not have some of the best standup, he makes up for his lack of pure knockout power with accuracy and persistance, and though he lacks the single-punch knockout power with his hands he defiantely has some power packed in his legs, i.e. Griffin vs Rampage. I think this whole bout will really depend on (as Couture would say) "Who imposes their will," if Griffin can keep it standing he will probably take it home with sheer points or a KO kick, if Ortiz can get him on the mat we will probably see a GnP victory follow closely behind. So, who do you think is going to walk away the winner of Griffin vs Ortiz 2?
